The other day I was thinking about the fact that there are so many designers around, ever since I took interest in digital media design I came to the conclusion that the line between an average designer and a good designers is pretty thin. Because, what defines a good designer? Is it all about eye-candy? Can't be, because what one defines as good, could be easily hated by another. Is it all about useability? And what is useability anyway? Making something easy to use isnt per se good, cause what is left about the experience of using something? Does it have to be fun to use? depends, are u designing for a bunch of kids or will old farts be browsing through your website. All these questions, mostly generated because of my school, my current Study. But hardly any answers.
Here on DA there are some very talented designers, some guys/girls really inspire me personally. But I hardly ever came across someone that I just wanted to give a hug because he understood the art of Webdesign?
...If webdesign is a form of art at all?
Maybe I just have to chill out a bit. And instead of thinking, just enjoy looking at the pretty pictures.
